Our Story

Manhattan. Masked faces. Coffee-stained shoes. Sunrise reading. Empty streets. Longboards & small bikes. Jazz. Espresso. The West Village. Rue B in the rain. Tap tap tapping away. Cruising with Roxanne. Dime. Camera strolls. Cold Spring winds. Missed subways. Hidden lake spots. Purple lightning sonatas. Soft launch shadows.

Mary wrote this haiku about a (the) boy:

The sun walked with me,
and brought sunflowers in rain,
and stayed for the night.

2020
Onto something a little less cryptic. We've set the scene with words and special phrases we use to describe the first summer we spent together. Amidst uncertain times, Mary was considering moving away from New York, until Andrew asked her, within hours of meeting...

Where are you going? I just met you.

She stayed. And there began a beautiful relationship and fierce friendship. As Mary always says...

We never wanted to stop hanging out. So here we are, still hanging out.

Here are a few of our favorite memories (hanging out):

The first birthday Mary spent with Andrew, a month after meeting. She made him a playlist (now, their favorite), for the sunshine cruise around his hometown with the windows down.

Torrential rain; Mary hears a knock at her door. Soaked from head to toe, he's brought her sunflowers.

He made her dinner and they danced to Billie Holiday, the food getting cold. He said I love you. She said I love you too.

Next up, they'll be saying I do.

The past four years have been a beautiful collection of memories and melodies. Now we're onto the next album. As Andrew put it, It's like we've put out an EP, but now it's time to put out a record. One of many to come.

We want to offer a sincere thank you to every one of you for your voices of support, which have played an instrumental role in our lives leading up to this day. We love you and can't wait to celebrate our love with you all.

Let's boogie!

XOXO, Mary & Andrew

Suns for each other,
drenching the hungry plant that
is the other; full.
